In the times of trial and pain, I prayed and asked the Lord for relief for my troubled soul. But yet I have taken the wait for silence and I have reacted with anger, bitterness and pain… With eyes blind and heart closed I turned to the word – yet no comfort did I receive for to me the pain was all too real or whatever little comfort given I took for granted and it fleeted from me. The wounds get cutting deeper and the pain did not abate. As a result, in my view the wait was just getting worse, nothing I did helped and then upon my heart came Habakkuk. Wondered why, considered if and waited… then I read it…. And I saw my prayers, my reactions and my lack of faith of months past…. Unlike Habakkuk I did not praise, I did not question further or wait on the Lord. I began to see that in the months past when I turned my tears to HIM I just kept seeing more hurt and pain and did not understand or grasp the blessings present in the situation and still to come… did not see the wonder of the Lord’s hand and what HE is and about to do…
When surrounded by darkness and negativity, light is needed. Positivity and light is needed for if you rely on your own human strength it will not be enough… “I am the light of the world” – John 8:122
How long, Lord, must I call for help… but you do not listen?
Why do you make me look at injustice? Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and conflict abounds.
For I am going to do something in your days that you do not believe, even if you were told….
I am raising up the Babylonians, that ruthless and impetuous people
Lord, are you not from everlasting? My God, my Holy One, you will never die.
Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrongdoing. Why then do you tolerate the treacherous? Why are you silent while the wicked swallow up those more righteous than themselves?
For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.
“Woe to him who piles up stolen goods” “Woe to him who builds his house by unjust gain” “Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed”
The cup of the Lord’s right hand is coming around to you, and disgrace will over your glory.
