I know, I trust and I believe that if I wait on the Lord, holding to my mind, spirit and heart; His promises to me, that I will see His goodness and blessings and glory in my life. If I believe I will see.
Whenever I begin to question God, asking him – Why is this happening? Why is my life the way it is? I will be still and remember his faithfulness from days of old. Remembering…
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. – Isaiah 8:11
Abraham did not understand why he had to sacrifice Isaac, but he followed God’s commands and waited on the Lord and then he saw.
Joseph could not understand his brothers’ cruelty, his bosses’ wife’s wickedness and his imprisonment but he trusted in the Lord and waited on him and then he saw.
Job did not understand his losses but he trusted in and waited for the Lord and then he saw.
Peter did not understand why Christ had to be crucified but he waited and then he saw.
You may not understand, but Jesus is telling us that if you believe, you will see.
