As I read Colossians 1: 9 to 14, the words that came to my mind was remember when you ask yourself what is the purpose of life? What is next for me? These verses are the answer to your questions.
The purpose of life is to serve God but more specifically is How do you serve God??? and the verses kept saying this is how you serve Him –
Ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives… Only the Spirit can give discernment so that you don’t make the mistake of confusing your own logic and desire with the Lord’s will. God is the authority and has the final say. Man plans but God disposes. Know His will first.
So that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, … Christ paid the ransom for your life, use this life as an opportunity to spread the gospel and do not hinder others in their faith walk. In everything you do bring honor to God and bear good fruit. Knowledge of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge of the Lord is never ending but ever growing. Never stop growing your relationship with God.
Being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience… no matter the trial and circumstances… Stand with the Armor of God. Remembering perseverance builds character and character, hope but without hope (in the Lord) we are nothing.
Giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light…. Be forever grateful, humble and thankful. Do not take for granted the presence, mercy, grace and love of God.
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins…We have been reconciled, our eternal home with God is waiting for us. Look to that always and not the things of this world.
So remember, before you go through any endeavor put it in prayer. Do not move without seeking the Lord’s will.
