“Teach me your way, Lord; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors” (Psalm 27:11). My oppressors have been my fears, giants, doubts, unbelief’s and lack of faith.
I have made so many costly mistakes and taken so many wrong paths all because I had feared the unknown, pain and people. I had feared man, circumstances and the unknown so much, to the extent that my fear of the world become more than my fear of the Lord. Unwittingly, my fear had become greater than my faith and belief in God. Honestly, this is an ongoing battle.
I had fought so hard to control and prevent situations with my own hand which has led to naught but wasted time, energy and more heartache.
Through it all I have come to learn and see that the lord has been impressing on my heart that I must accept trials, pain and hurt. That I cannot grow and will always be hindered if I do not accept life’s trials. Because when you accept the trials you realize you are not in control, you cannot save yourself, only God can save; then you are forced to truly believe in Him without seeing, feeling or tangible guarantee.
Yes, I have always believed in God but I had not truly believed Him and His words for me. My faith had been by sight and feelings; not by believing.
God is teaching me that there is blessing in trials, that darkness fools you into believing that it is winning and that is all there will ever be. But God says there is spiritual growth and discipline in His trials, they are His not darkness, “God has a fixed time and an ordain purpose, and He who controls the limits of our lives also determines the time of our deliverance” – Streams in the Desert.
Therefore, do not focus on the crying, see instead what the crying yields. What the delay yields and the growth that abounds within. Nothing else could have produced this. Triumph is not about getting worldly things it is about getting spiritual gifts that will never perish. That will sustain in every trial that is to come. For this world has trouble and trouble will come, it cannot be avoided or prevented but God is here and present. He is here, hallelujah God you here.
So believe in God the father, the Son and Holy Spirit. Believe in the Crucifixion, the Resurrection, that He conquered death and that He is coming back again. So let the lost be found and the dead be raised! In the here and now, let love invade! Let the Church live loud, our God we will say We Believe, we Believe
And the gates of hell will not prevail! For the power of God, has the torn the veil! Now we know Your love will never fail! We Believe, We Believe
