Thought of the Day

By learning you will teach; by teaching you will learn. – Latin Proverb

Thought of the Day

He is the Source of everything. Strength for your day. Wisdom for your task. Comfort for your soul. Grace for your battle. Provision for each need. Understanding for each failure. Assistance for every encounter. – Jack Hayford

Thought of the Day

Thank God every morning when you get up that you have something to do that day which must be done, whether you like it or not. Being forced to work, and forced to do your best, will breed in you temperance and self-control, diligence and strength of will, cheerfulness and contentment, and a hundred virtues which the idle never know – Charles Kingsley

Did I Not Tell You That If You Believed, You Would See The Glory Of God – John 11:40

I know, I trust and I believe that if I wait on the Lord, holding to my mind, spirit and heart; His promises to me, that I will see His goodness and blessings and glory in my life. If I believe I will see.

Whenever I begin to question God, asking him – Why is this happening? Why is my life the way it is? I will be still and remember his faithfulness from days of old. Remembering…

My Father is the Gardner of My Life

Trouble outwardly may appear painful or even destructive, but inwardly its spiritual work produces blessings. God sees the future and knows the final results. Thought Of The Day

All the ways of a man are sure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirit. Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble – Proverbs 16:2-4 ESV

In The Doubt and Darkness, Remember the Lord’s Words… Remember Exodus 34:6-7

Exodus 34_6

The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; Exodus 34:6-7.

Remember the words above are directly from God, not a Prophet or a High Priest. I Am said these words as He passed by Moses. So as we wait on the Lord, as we wait in doubt and think maybe God is displeased with us because our timing has not come. Remember HIS words.

The Significance of Seeing God

Where there is no vision the people perish (Proverbs 29:18 KJV)…when there is no hope in Christ the people perish. Seeing God always transforms human life. Remember these stories… after encounting God,  Abram became Abraham, Moses became the leader that led the Israelites out of Egypt, Jacob became Israel, Gideon took the Israelites in to the promised land and Saul became Paul.

Flesh and Heart May Fail But God is the Strength of My Heart and Portion

flesh may fail

Reading Exodus 32 (The Golden Calf) all 35 verses, I kept shaking my head and thinking how could the Israelites turn so quickly, how could they have forgotten so soon the red sea, the cloud before them and the fire that guided them at night. Moses was gone for 40 days, a month and 10 days. Then a thought came to my mind, how am I so different from the Israelites. See my own actions in my own desert. The Lord made me two promises and as I struggled in my barren land, I had forgotten them. I too became forgetful, forgetting the past triumphs and blessings my Lord brought me through. Though the distance of my desert has been longer than 40 days there have been streams, wells and rivers. Continue reading “Flesh and Heart May Fail But God is the Strength of My Heart and Portion”
